Honourary Chairperson

The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation is pleased to work with Marie Stelmach in her role as Honourary Chairperson. Marie Stelmach, wife of Alberta's thirteenth Premier, mother of Les, Terry, Nathan and Lynette, and grandmother of Ethan, is a remarkable woman dedicated to nurturing family and community. Along with playing a key role in running the family farm, Mrs. Stelmach has also participated in the Andrew and Mundare 4H Clubs. Her interest in continuous learning has extended to her work on the Lamont Further Education Council and her trusteeship with the Andrew Library Board. Realizing the strength of neighbourhood efforts in creating safe communities, Marie is active in the Andrew/Willingdon/St. Michael Crime Watch Association. Her involvement in the life of her community has extended to her volunteer work as a member of the Krakow Ukrainian Church Parish Council. Marie sings soprano in the St. Michael/Krakow Church Choir of which she and the Premier are members. Mrs. Stelmach understands the unique role the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital plays in Alberta Health Services and throughout Western Canada.
